Voices of Ukraine, a Talks Event

Come join us for an inspiring and thought-provoking evening with incredible Talks, networking and be spoilt with drinks, canapés and like-minded conversations, all for a good cause!

We’ve lined up two remarkable women Kateryna Argyrou & Olena Lima who will share their incredible career highs and lows. We’ll learn all about their personal and professional journeys, how they’ve built their careers, founded their businesses and charities and the insights they’ve learned along the way. Both women are proud Ukrainians, and will also be sharing the stories from their families in Ukraine and the challenges they are facing today.

Following their keynotes, enjoy a panel with our media partners, the Founder of Missing Perspectives, Phoebe Saintilan-Stocks and Editorial & Creative Lead, Hannah Diviney, hosted by our very own Founder & CEO of The Remarkable Woman, Shivani Gopal. The panel will dig deeper into the missing stories of Ukraine, including the impact of the conflict on women and the lack of female voices reporting on the conflict.

All the proceeds will go towards raising money for the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Kateryna

Kateryna Argyrou

Kateryna Argyrou was born in Ukraine, spent her childhood in Canada, and moved to Australia 10 years ago. She graduated with honours from George Washington University and the London School of Economics. She is currently an investment analyst at Maple-Brown Abbott (MBA), and volunteers as the Co-Chair of the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) and a Co-Founder and NSW Representative of the Australian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (AUCC).

Olena

Olena Lima

Olena is a Ukraine-born Australian and the Founder of a niche Digital Marketing agency, based in Sydney. Having moved to Australia more than a decade ago with her then seven-year-old son, Olena’s path is full of twists and life surprises, from sending out 100+ resumes trying to find the first job in marketing to being a recognised consultant in the industry and a frequent speaker at industry events and host of her online school.

Phoebe

Phoebe Saintilan-Stocks

Phoebe is an Australian human rights adviser and gender-equality advocate. She has international human rights policy experience across the public and private sector, and the UN Secretariat. She recently completed her postgraduate thesis focused on the involvement of women and youth in decision-making and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda. Phoebe is passionate about advancing UN Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 2250 and using technology and media to accelerate gender equality for young women around the world.

Hannah

Hannah Diviney

Hannah is a writer, disability advocate and the Editor In Chief at Missing Perspectives. She is deeply passionate about improving the visibility of people with disabilities and empowering people to look beyond their perceptions around what success should look like. In 2018, Hannah co-founded the Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s Krazy Kosci Klimb, and most recently became the driving force behind the petition calling for Disney to create a disabled Disney princess. Hannah has been featured on Channel 10’s The Project and ABC’s The Drum.

Shivani Gopal

Shivani Gopal is the Founder and CEO of The Remarkable Woman and Co-Founder of Upstreet. Her proven methods have helped hundreds of women over her previous 10 year career as a financial adviser and leading others in the finance industry, and it can help you too! Shivani has won the Top 50 Small Business Leaders award and is recognised as a leading feminist and business thought leader, helping women navigate through their careers, businesses and financial success.
